1) Agreement to these Terms
By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, booking a trip, placing a deposit, or participating in any Cedros Fishing & Diving trip or activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
2) Trip Overview
We offer guided lodge-based fishing and diving trips in Cedros Island, Baja California, Mexico.
Lodge season: May 20 – November 5 (dates may vary slightly year to year based on operations and conditions).
Sport Fishing (Open-party guided fishing)
Group size: 2–3 pangas (typically 3–4 anglers per panga). Groups may be combined; we’ll keep friends and family together whenever possible.
Boats: 26–28 ft fiberglass center-console boats with shade and standard safety gear.
Target species: Yellowtail, Calico Bass, Halibut, and seasonal species (e.g., Dorado, Tuna, White Sea Bass, Black Sea Bass).
Boat Diving (Guided boat diving)
Group size: About 5 divers per guide; we’ll keep friends and family together whenever possible.
Boats: 26–28 ft fiberglass center-console boats with shade and standard safety gear.
Experience: All levels welcome; premium guided routes tailored to skill level and daily conditions.
Certification: Diving certification is required; please share your certification level and last dive date prior to booking.
3) What’s Included
Inclusions may vary by package and conditions, but typically include:

At the Lodge
Lodging (shared for diving trips unless otherwise arranged)

Catch Handling (Fishing trips)
Fish filleting, vacuum-seal packaging, and freezing may be available to prepare your catch for the trip home (availability may vary—ask in advance if you have specific requests).
Permits & Licenses
Travel permits + Mexican fishing licenses (as applicable to your itinerary).
4) Pricing
Pricing is determined by trip length (number of days), not trip type. Fishing and diving are the same price.
Cedros Escape (3 days): $2,000 per guest
Cedros Classic (4 days): $2,600 per guest
Extra days add-on: +$400 per guest, per day
(Adds one full lodge night, guided-boat day, and applicable inclusions listed above.)
Prices are per guest unless stated otherwise.
5) Booking & Approval
All bookings are subject to approval based on dates, capacity, weather, and operations. Submitting a form or calling does not confirm a trip. Trip dates are confirmed only after we receive and process the required deposit and send written confirmation. Availability is first-come, first-served.
6) Deposits & Payments
Deposit required to hold dates: A deposit equal to one-third (1/3) of the total trip cost per guest is required to reserve trip dates. Dates are not held or confirmed until the deposit is received.
Deposits are non-refundable.
By booking a trip and/or placing a deposit, you are acknowledging and agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
Remaining balance due: Due day of arrival (cash preferred). Venmo/PayPal may be available if needed.
Add-ons / additional fees: Optional upgrades may carry additional fees (for example, private room requests, special accommodations, liquor, gear rentals, or other add-ons). Please ask when booking so we can confirm availability and pricing.
Fuel surcharge: We reserve the right to add a fuel surcharge when fuel costs or operating conditions significantly increase. If a fuel surcharge applies, we will communicate it as early as reasonably possible prior to departure.
7) Cancellations & Changes
Deposits are non-refundable.
Date/name changes: Case-by-case and depend on availability; we’ll do our best to help you move to a workable window.
Weather/sea conditions: For unsafe weather/sea conditions, we will reschedule your trip. Itineraries may adjust to maximize safety and quality.
8) Travel Documents, Certifications & Gear
Passport required for all guests.
Airline / luggage & gear weight limits: Airline luggage and fishing gear weight limits may apply. The current limit is 60 pounds per passenger unless otherwise communicated. Weight limits may change from time to time based on airline policies and operational requirements.
If you exceed the weight limit, you may be denied boarding or required to reduce weight before travel. If you are denied boarding or unable to travel due to exceeding weight limits, no refunds will be issued.
Diving certification: Certification is required for diving; please share your certification level & last dive date prior to booking. Divers must meet agency requirements and be comfortable in open-water conditions.
Fishing gear: Fishing gear is not included; guests are encouraged to bring their own rods/reels/tackle.
Rental gear (limited): A limited selection of gear may be available upon request. Availability is limited—please ask when inquiring.
9) Safety on the Water
Trips operate on 26–28 ft center-console boats equipped with shade and standard safety gear. A safety briefing is provided before departure.
Life jackets and emergency equipment are carried on board.
Guests must follow captain/guide instructions at all times.
Routes and schedules may change due to weather/sea conditions. Trips may be delayed, modified, or rescheduled at the captain’s discretion.
Minimum age: Typically 12–14 with a parent/guardian (varies by conditions and trip type). Divers must meet agency requirements.
Guests should be in general good health and able to board the boat and move around the deck. Please notify us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or mobility needs. Bring any personal medications (including inhalers/EpiPens). If you’re sensitive to motion, we strongly recommend bringing seasickness remedies.
10) Search Policy (Safety Screening)
For safety and security, guests and their belongings may be subject to reasonable search and screening prior to departing for the trip and/or boarding transportation or vessels. Refusal to comply may result in denied participation without refund, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11) Alcohol & Drugs
Honor bar (beer/soda/water) is available at the lodge.
Liquor is available for an additional charge (availability may vary).
No impairment is permitted on boats or before diving. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
Guides/captains may refuse service or participation if safety is a concern.
12) Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel participation, or remove any guest from any portion of the trip if we determine, in our sole discretion, that the guest’s behavior, condition, or conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or otherwise incompatible with the safety and enjoyment of the trip. This includes (but is not limited to) suspected intoxication or impairment. Denied participation may result in no refund.
13) Catch Handling & Limits
Guests are responsible for complying with local regulations (species, size, and bag limits). Our team will provide current guidance on-site. Catch handling/processing options may vary by trip—please ask in advance if you have specific requests.
14) Assumption of Risk
Boating, fishing, and diving involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips/falls, drowning, decompression illness, marine life encounters, weather exposure, equipment failure, and limited access to immediate medical care due to remote locations. You voluntarily assume these risks to the maximum extent permitted by law.
15) Waivers, Liability & Insurance
Guests participate at their own risk. A waiver may be required at check-in.
We strongly recommend travel, medical, and evacuation insurance that covers fishing or diving activities. If you’d like help, we can share insurance recommendations and point you to common coverage options—please ask when booking or inquiring.
16) Photos & Media
We may take photos/video during trips for marketing and documentation. By participating, you grant permission for us to use your likeness unless you notify us in writing before your trip at La-mar24@hotmail.com.
17) Website Use
You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, scrape content, or interfere with site functionality.
18) Disclaimers
We do not guarantee specific catches, species availability, sea conditions, weather, wildlife sightings, or trip outcomes. Website information may be updated at any time.
19) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount paid to us for the trip giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
20) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, and applicable local rules in Baja California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts with jurisdiction in Baja California, Mexico, unless otherwise required by law.
21) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version posted on our website with the current effective date controls.
